The University of Economics (VSE)

The University of Economics in Prague is one of the most prestigious universities in Europe and the is the biggest public university of economics in the Czech Republic

The VSE was founded on September 1, 1953. Currently, more than 17,000 people study here, 8% of them are foreigners.

VSE carries out active and long-term cooperation with many foreign universities. VŠE has been certified with the “ECTS label” and “DS Label” by the European Commission. Both certificates confirm the credibility of VŠE in terms of partnerships with universities abroad. Currently, the university has nearly 100 partners in different countries around the world.

Study process in the The University of Economics in Prague running in both – Czech and English languages. More that that, students can learn here English, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish and Chinese languages.

Highly qualified teaching staff of the University includes both theoretical scientists and practical teachers. A high level of teaching is thanks to the fact that many professors from the University is also lecturing at prestigious American and European universities, for example – in the Sorbonne. The Nobel Prize winners Prof. Robert A. Mundell, Prof. Milton Friedman, and Prof. Gary S. Becker have obtained the university’s honoris causa title.
