The specialties offered by the institute give students theoretical knowledge and practical skills, thanks to which graduates can easily find work at a high professional level. Studying takes place in small groups, where special importance is attached to the development of one’s own opinion, the creative application of acquired knowledge in practice. The Anglo-American Institute in Prague collaborates with partner universities in the USA: University of Hawai and Central Michigan University. Within the framework of the “3 + 1” program, the first three years of study are held in Prague, during the fourth year the student continues to study at one of the partner institutes, where he eventually graduates from the American baccalaureate.

For 20 years, the Anglo-American Institute, which is the oldest private university in the Czech Republic, has been offering quality higher education in English. The specialty is focused on the study of modern democratic societies and their transformations. These social changes are considered among such humanitarian disciplines as philosophy, religion, history, cultural anthropology, cultural studies, art history and literature.
Politics & society
A deep study of political science and social sciences, with a strong emphasis on history and contemporary political and social events in Europe, the position of Central Europe in the global economy.
Comparative law
The training provides students with fundamental knowledge and develops the analytical skills necessary for employment as professional lawyers.
International relations and diplomacy
This program includes a number of subjects, such as: the theory of international relations, international economics, international law, the history of diplomacy, diplomacy, etc.
Applied Sociology and Public Policy
The objective of this master’s program is to familiarize students with new areas and theories in the field of sociology and socio-economic theories, the methods used in the field of sociology and public policy. Great emphasis is placed on understanding the ongoing changes in theory.
