One year English course at ČZU

The English language course in Prague was developed by International Youth Union and is intended for those who would like to study in English at public or private universities, both in the Czech Republic and abroad.

In addition to English language courses, students (in groups of 17 people maximum) study Czech, which they will need for everyday communication and adaptation to life in the Czech Republic. Classes are taught by experienced professors.

English will always help you find a good job in an international company or just travel around many countries without feeling a language barrier. Intensive English language courses in Prague will greatly simplify the task of learning this international language.

International Union of Youth in Prague

International Union of Youth is one of the leading providers of language courses in the Czech Republic, which offers quality and comprehensive training to international students. Every year, almost 3,000 students undergo language training with us, coming to the capital of the Czech Republic for the MSM programs. 92% of students from our long-term programs successfully pass entrance exams and enter Czech universities, both in Czech and in English.

International Union of Youth has also opened its own language academy, MSM Academy, which provides quality language courses for both residents of the Czech Republic and students from abroad. All teachers of the Academy are highly qualified specialists and native speakers.

The level of education offered by International Union of Youth meets all European educational standards. During the preparatory language programs, students are provided with comprehensive assistance in matters of studies and accommodation.

In Prague, students are supported by curators, who help them to understand the process of nostrification, apply for a visa extension, register with the police, choose and enter a university. While applying for the program, each participant is assisted by a responsible manager who will tell you everything about the required documents, prepare you for an interview at the embassy and make your moving process comfortable and easy.

Academic year (15.09 – 31.08):

Winter semester: 15.9 – 18.12 (14 weeks)
22-26 hours of language classes per week (English)

Summer semester: 15.1 – 7.6 (21 weeks)
22-26 hours of language classes per week ( English + Czech + profile subjects)

Dear students, if for some reason you do not have time for the one-year program, then there is an opportunity to come to a similar half-year program.

The course ends with an exam to confirm the knowledge of the English language, which the student gained during the course. The students receive a certificate of the SERR sample, corresponding to the achieved results.

List of the services we provide when you choose our Czech courses in Prague:

  1. Assistance in collecting documents and filling in an application for a long-term visa to the Czech Republiс for the duration of the program; providing the documents required for the visa – the confirmation of studies and the confirmation of accommodation.
  2. Processing of Czech medical insurance for the period of studies. Insurance is paid separately by the student. The cost of insurance depends on the covered services.
  3. Meeting students on the day of their arrival in Prague (airport, bus, or railway station).
  4. Connecting student’s phone to a local mobile operator.
  5. Accommodation in the Czech Republic:
    • The cost of living starts from 340 euros/month.
    • Students are obliged to live at their place of residence during the entire course.
  6. Registration at the Foreign Police within 3 working days after arrival in the Czech Republic.
  7. Orientation program in the Czech Republic:
    • Sightseeing tour in Prague with the MSM curators (tour in the city, visiting shopping centers, currency exchange, etc.).
  8. Cultural program:

  9. Assistance in nostrification (recognition) of students diploma of secondary and higher education.
  10. Assistance with applications to students chosen universities and educational advisory services and support.
  11. If necessary, we accompany our students to hospitals. Our curators also act as interpreters from English into Czech at doctor’s appointments. The student must have health insurance.
  12. During the period of studies, all consulting and other support on living and studying in the Czech Republic are provided.
