Prague Castle Tour: 08.01.2018

08.01.2018 students of English holidays in Prague visited the main symbol of the Czech Republic – Prague Castle (in the original Pražský Hrad).

Prague Castle is a fortress complex and a palace residence of all the rulers of the Czech Republic (from the princes of Bohemia to the incumbent president). Built in the 9th century, the city is located on the left bank of the Vltava River. An unforgettable view of the whole city opens from the Castle.

Prague Castle has collected the structures of all the architectural styles of the last millennium! The famous St. Vitus Cathedral is located here, a stunning object of Gothic architecture. St. Vitus Cathedral is one of the oldest structures of the fortress which was built up till the 19th century

An interesting fact is that the Prague Castle is the largest presidential residence in the world and for this it was included in the Guinness World Records Book! Also, the Prague Castle is listed among the UNESCO World Heritage.

In order to get into the territory of Prague Castle, you need to go through the front gate, where you will meet an honor guard – a favorite place for taking photos by tourists. There is an honorable change of guard every day at noon. This tradition has become another local attraction.

The residence of the Czech president is impressive and enthralls every visitor! Our students of English vacations in Prague did not remain indifferent either!
