Prague Old Town (Stare Mesto) is the most central and popular tourist part of the city of Prague. The cobbled streets seem to contain the memories of past centuries, when horse-drawn carriages rode on them, ladies and gentlemen strolling slowly, discussing pressing issues.
Students of the winter language program of the International Union of Youth went on a fascinating walk through the Prague old city on January 7th, 2020. The walk turned out to be very eventful because in the old city there are many attractions that are known around the world.
Of course, the students, accompanied by the guide, first went to the famous Charles Bridge, the first stone of which was laid back in 1357. Majestic sculptures on the stone bridge and the bridge tower are considered one of the most beautiful medieval buildings.
Then the students were told about the Old Town Square, which was a witness to all the historical events of Prague and contains many amazing stories. There is also the Old Town Hall, famous for its tower with an Astronomical Clock.
Students also saw and learned the history of the Powder Tower, Tyn Church, the Jewish Quarter. It is impossible to see the Prague old town and not remain unimpressed. The emotions of students, caused by the ancient sights of the Czech capital, were sincere and bright! Check out photos from the central mysterious streets of Prague.
