The Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague is one of the three largest universities in the Czech Republic!
The history of the CULS begins in 1906, but that time it was just an agrarian faculty in the National Technical University. Thanks to the active work of the faculty, the separate educational institution was created. Thus, in 1952 the Agrarian Faculty turned into the Prague University of Agriculture, and in 1995 to the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague. The First World War slowed down the development of the future university, but after the war ended, the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague returned to it’s developmental activity.
Now, CULS isn’t just a university – this is a whole student city, consisting of numerous educational buildings, hostels, galleries, laboratories and libraries.
