The ranking was compiled by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) not as usual, based on surveys of residents of different countries, but by alternative methods, because during the pandemic it was impossible to conduct classical social surveys. “Our goal was twofold. First, focus on the impact of COVID-19 on the structure and quality of people’s life. Secondly, to describe and evaluate how the government around the world handled problems during a pandemic, said the compilers of the ranking.
Czech Republic is ranked 18th on the list, ahead of the USA, Belgium, France, Malta, the United Arab Emirates and more than a hundred other countries.
Such a high place in the ranking does not surprise us at all! Czech Republic is indeed a very happy country and Czechs are a nation that knows how to enjoy life. If there is such a place where you can say that Wednesday is like little Friday, it is certainly in the Czech Republic – the locals will not wait the end of the working week to have a good time with a good vibe!
Besides, Czechs know for sure that we work to live rather than live to work: weekends with family in the countryside, trips to neighboring towns with friends and coffee meetings with colleagues after the workday are an unchangeable ritual.
Czech people value their privacy and their right to relax and nobody is allowed to intrude on them.
Czech Republic is very cozy, safe and beautiful country, it has everything you need for a happy and comfortable life: a stunning architecture, a pleasant mild climate, a variety of job offers in large international companies, a high standard of living at a fairly low cost, free medicine and social security, high wages, plenty of parks, squares, playgrounds, as well as low interest rates on mortgages.
Come to Czech Republic and see for yourself how beautiful this country is!
