Cruise on the Vltava: 06.10.2019

прогулянка по Влатві msmstudy.com.ua

On October 6, 2019, students of the One Year Foundation Programs of the International Union of Youth were pleased not only with the bright and warm autumn sun, but also with a wonderful new tour. This time, the children were expected to have an entertaining hour-long cruise on the Vltava river, where they could admire the already famous Prague beauties from the deck of the ship.

Vlatava is the most famous Czech river that originates in the picturesque Šumava mountains. It is her waters that also form the largest reservoir in the Czech Republic – Lipno. The Vltava River flows into the Elbe River, with which MSM students were already able to meet yesterday, on an entertaining trip to Dresden, the capital of Saxony. On the river itself in the Czech Republic there are only three cities: Ceske Budejovice, the picturesque Cesky Krumlov, and, of course, the enchanting capital of Prague.

The name of the river comes from the old Germanic Wilth-ahwa, which means “wild water.” Cruiese on the Vltava River is a great opportunity to discover a completely different capital of the Czech Republic, because reflecting in the waters the Prague has some special magic. Despite its name, the river flows quite calmly in the city itself, so our students fully enjoyed their cruise. The Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and the narrow streets of the city, already known to them, showed their views from all sides. Accompanied by cheerful music and interesting new acquaintances, together with the coordinators and a professional photographer, the students had a great last day of the week and gained new strength for new achievements.
