On Thursday, 16th of July, the MSM students went for Prague Castle Guided Tour. Apart from visiting the world’s largest President Castle at Hradcany and famous gothic St. Vitus Cathedral students had the opportunity to enjoy the most spectacular Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque architecture in the city
The MSM students went for a trip to the biggest and the most famous spa city in the Czech Republic, Karlovy Vary, on Sunday, 12th of June. The city Karlovy Vary is very popular because of its beautiful architecture, 13 springs and annual Film Festival, which attend the actors from all over the world. Despite the clouds and light rain the students enjoyed the walk around the city and returned to Prague with many positive memories
On Saturday, June 11th, the students participated in a trip to the city with the 3000 years history, the capital of Austria, Vienna. These days, Vienna is considered to be a city of music and great musicians, art and magnificent architecture, museums and wonderful park areas. MSM students visited the historical centre of the city with a guide. After walk in the city centre the students went to see a beautiful St. Stephan´s Cathedral – the pride of Vienna.
The Sport Day organized by MSM crew on Friday, 10th of July, was a great opportunity to relax after the classes. During the Sport Day students participated in football, volleyball, basketball and Frisbee matches. Moreover, the students also competed in the untraditional discipline – twister
Today, the MSM coordinators have organized the presentation of study programs for our students. During the presentation the students had the opportunity to learn about study possibilities in Europe. The specialists from MSM Academy introduced a very unique Double Degree program in the sphere of tourism and hotel management delivered by the Czech University of Life Science in Prague in cooperation with the SEG Group institutes in Switzerland – the word leader in the area of hotel business
MSM Students visited a Prague ZOO on Tuesday, 7th of June. The Prague ZOO, with its 60 hectares is ranked among seven largest ZOOs in the world. The ZOO itself is situated on two levels, to move from one level to another is possible by using the cable car. Students could visit in total 10 different pavilions and observe more than 5 000 animals of 350 species, many of which are on the verge of extinction
The first destination of MSM students during their summer stay was Dresden, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany that is located just behind the borders with the Czech Republic. Students visited the famous historical and contemporary places as Dresden Art Gallery and exhibition of masterpieces of Raphael, Rubens, Dürer, Rembrandt, Van Eyck), and Grünes Gewölbe – the richest collection of jewellery in Europe. During the guided tour the students learned about the unique history of the city that is specific especially because of the Second World War, during which most of the city was razed to the ground and rebuilt again. Students spent their free time by shopping, walking along the river and visiting some more museums.
The National Technical Museum is the pride of Prague. For over a hundred years extensive collections have been assembled documenting the development of many technical fields, of the natural and exact sciences, and of industry in the territory of today’s Czech Republic. The Architecture, Engineering and Design exposition presents a range of models, plans and artefacts from the 19th and 20th centuries. Another exposition is focused on astronomical instruments primarily from the 16th and 17th centuries, but you can also see a meteorite that is nearly 5,000 years old. In the 20th century the museum was labelled as the best museum of its kind.
During the first weekend in the Czech Republic the MSM students participated in Prague Castle Guided Tour. Students visited the world’s largest medieval castle and Hradcany, world-famous St. Vitus Cathedral, Prague’s famous castle district and had an opportunity to enjoy the most spectacular Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque architecture the city has to offer. Moreover, Prague Castle is situated in the biggest complex of Presidential Palace in the world!
