The first weekend of the summer camp the MSM students spent in Dresden – one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, which is only a few hours away from Prague. The students have visited such famous cultural sites as the Dresden City Art Gallery, which exhibits masterpieces of old masters (Raphael, Rubens, Dürer, Rembrandt, Jan van Eyck), and the Grünes Gewölbe (“Green Vaults”) which holds the biggest collection of jewelry in Europe. During the tour through the city center the students got acquainted with the history of the city, which was razed to the ground during World War II and rebuilt according to the old architectural sketches in the 60s.
